Why did you specialise in Orthodontics?
After qualifying as a dentist and working within different dental specialties, I found that orthodontics enabled me to combine two things I feel very passionate about: planning and attention to detail.
What's the best part of your job?
Seeing the wonderful effects that the smallest of brace adjustments can make on how teeth look. It’s great to see patients smile more and to see their self-esteem grow as a result.
What’s the worst part of your job?
Occasionally seeing the damage of enamel caused by poor levels of oral hygiene during orthodontic treatment.
Do you have any special interests within it?
My special interest is simply aiming to deliver exceptional service. I also very much enjoy increasing patients and their family’s understanding of the treatment, so that they feel more involved in the process.
What do you do for fun outside of work?
Everybody loves delicious food, and I’m no different! Although I enjoy dining out, I am also trying to develop my culinary skills. I also enjoy hiking, playing badminton and travelling the world to see the beautiful natural wonders.
